90 minute Workshop
Facilitating across the senses. A sensory safari to explore new frontiers in facilitating creative collaboration
Part workshop, part sensory safari- this session will take you on a tour of the five (maybe six?) senses to explore new frontiers in engagement and creative experience. As facilitators we often rely upon sound (spoken word and music) and sight (written word and image) to activate participants, but what about the other senses? We will move beyond our eyes and ears to engage our hands, our noses, our mouths and our hearts as tools for inspiring new thinking and new ways of doing.
#1: Understand a simple facilitation framework to inform the design and choice of facilitation tools.
#2: Utilize the senses to experience new ways of finding, framing, and solving problems.
#3: Identify and practice new tools that you can immediately apply in your own life and work.
Participants will spend most of their time: Practicing a skill or using a tool or technique of some kind.
For participants the most important outcome of this session is: To practice a skill or practice using a tool
